The race began with heartbreak for polesitter Marco Bezzecchi, who crashed out of the lead on just the second lap, handing control to a duel between Marc Marquez and Acosta.

The two Spaniards traded the lead multiple times in a breathtaking display of racecraft, with Acosta momentarily pulling clear before Marquez mounted a late-race charge. The controversy peaked on the penultimate lap at the final corner.

Marquez executed a characteristically aggressive "dive-bomb" on the inside of Acosta, forcing the KTM rider wide to reclaim the lead. However, the FIM Stewards quickly deemed the move "irresponsible riding" and ordered Marquez to drop one position.

Marquez complied at the very last corner of the race, allowing Pedro Acosta to cross the line for a historic win. Raul Fernandez capitalized on the chaos to secure a brilliant third-place finish for Trackhouse Racing, while Francesco Bagnaia managed to salvage a single championship point by finishing 9th after starting from 13th.
