Real Sociedad vs Real Oviedo Match Detail on SportFeed

In one of the most unpredictable matches of the season, Real Sociedad and Real Oviedo played out a pulsating 3-3 draw at the Reale Arena. After a scoreless first half, the game exploded into life as Real Oviedo took a shock two-goal lead early in the second period thanks to a quickfire brace from Federico Viñas.

The uruguayan striker headed home twice in the span of two minutes, leaving the home fans in stunned silence. Real Sociedad responded with character as substitute Orri Óskarsson pulled one back in the 64th minute before Duje Caleta-Car hammered home an equalizer from a corner with just three minutes of regulation time remaining.

The drama reached its peak in stoppage time when Óskarsson scored his second of the night in the 90th minute, completing what seemed to be a miraculous comeback for the hosts. However, Real Oviedo refused to leave San Sebastian empty-handed.

In the 92nd minute, the legendary Santi Cazorla delivered a trademark pinpoint cross for Eric Bailly, who rose highest to head home a dramatic last-gasp equalizer. While the point does little to move Oviedo off the bottom of the table, the manner of the performance provides a massive boost to their survival hopes, while Real Sociedad will be frustrated at dropping two points after nearly clinching the win.
