Costello van Steenis successfully defended his PFL Middleweight Championship, stopping Fabian Edwards with a third-round knockout. The narrative of the fight was one of increasing physicality; after a competitive start where both men traded advantages in technical scrambles, Van Steenis took control in the third.
He trapped Edwards against the cage and landed a series of punishing short elbows that brought the contest to a close at the 1:48 mark. The undercard delivered significant results for the home crowd.
The champion's brother, Gino van Steenis, secured a stunning first-round knockout over Mark Ewen, while AJ McKee earned a unanimous decision victory over Adam Borics in the co-main event. Other notable winners included Linton Vassell, who defeated Jose Augusto by TKO, and Jacinta Austin, who won her strawweight bout in the first round.
The event was a major success for Spanish MMA, with several local fighters securing decisive wins on a historic night in Madrid.
