James Hardie Pro Football HOF Invitational Round 2

Steve Allan and Zach Johnson share the 36-hole lead at 9-under-par after a high-scoring second round in Boca Raton. Allan, seeking his first win on the senior circuit, carded a bogey-free 5-under-par 67, highlighted by clinical birdies on the 10th and 16th holes.

Johnson joined him at the top with a resilient performance, leveraging his signature wedge play to navigate the breezy conditions and put himself in prime position for a Sunday trophy charge. The leaderboard remains exceptionally crowded, with George McNeill and Boo Weekley sitting just two strokes back at 7-under-par.

Weekley electrified the gallery with a brilliant birdie on the par-5 13th, while McNeill’s steady iron play kept him in the hunt for his first PGA TOUR Champions title. Overnight leader Ricardo Gonzalez slipped to a tie for 7th at 4-under after a difficult afternoon, while Stewart Cink and Alex Cejka remain dangerous at 5-under.

Defending champion Angel Cabrera showed signs of life with a 2-under 70, but remains well back of the leaders as the tournament heads into the final round.
