Starting the day with a one-shot lead, the 22-year-old South African carded a clinical 3-under-par 67 to finish at 14-under for the tournament. The win was made even more dramatic by a 35-minute lightning delay just as the final group reached the 18th tee, but Jarvis remained composed, closing with a steady par to ignite celebrations among the home crowd.
The victory earns Jarvis coveted exemptions into both The Masters and The Open Championship later this year. His closest rivals, Hennie du Plessis, Frederic Lacroix, and Francesco Laporta, all finished in a tie for second at 11-under.
While Du Plessis missed out on an Open spot after a costly bogey at the last, Laporta and Lacroix secured their tickets to Royal Birkdale via their world rankings. Another standout story of the day was amateur Charl Barnard, who fired a 68 to win the prestigious Freddie Tait Cup as the leading amateur, finishing in a tie for 54th overall.
