Hong KongSeason 2026
Sergio Garcia turned back the clock to claim a sensational victory at LIV Golf Hong Kong, finishing at 18-under-par to secure his first individual title of the 2026 season. Garcia, who started the day five shots back, carded a brilliant 5-under 65 to overtake the overnight leaders.
His victory was sealed with a clinical par on the 18th, surviving a late charge from Dean Burmester, who finished just one stroke behind at 17-under. The win is particularly sweet for the Spaniard, as it marks a return to the winner's circle on a course where he has historically excelled.
The final day was a heartbreak for the overnight co-leaders. Jon Rahm and Thomas Detry both struggled to find their rhythm in the closing stretch, ultimately falling into a tie for 3rd at 16-under alongside Harold Varner III.
On the team side, Garcia's Fireballs GC completed a historic double, surging from fifth place to win the team trophy at 47-under-par, edging out Smash GC by a single stroke. The day also featured a spectacular 61 from Thomas Pieters, which stood as the low round of the tournament and helped propel 4Aces GC to a podium finish in the team standings.
