Chubb Classic Round 1

Darren Clarke and Michael Wright delivered clinical performances on Friday, February 13, 2026, to share the first-round lead at the Chubb Classic. Clarke’s objective was to exploit his power on the par-5s, and he did so in spectacular fashion by recording two eagles in his final four holes to card a 7-under-par 65.

Wright matched him with a resilient round that featured nine birdies, recovering quickly from a mid-round double bogey to set the early pace at Tiburón.
