Atlético Madrid vs Barcelona Match Detail on SportFeed

Atlético Madrid secured their passage to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, despite a narrow 2–1 defeat on the night to FC Barcelona. Having won the first leg 2–0, Atlético’s primary objective was to avoid a total collapse, ultimately progressing 3–2 on aggregate.

The match began in frantic fashion as Barcelona struck twice in the opening 25 minutes. Lamine Yamal silenced the Metropolitano in the 4th minute by pouncing on a defensive error, and Ferran Torres leveled the aggregate score in the 24th minute with a powerful finish.

However, the momentum shifted just after the half-hour mark when Ademola Lookman finished a brilliant counter-attack to put Atlético back ahead on aggregate. The second half was a story of defensive grit; even after Barcelona's Eric García was sent off in the 79th minute, the visitors continued to press, with Ronald Araújo missing a point-blank header in the final moments of stoppage time.

Simeone’s men held firm through eight minutes of injury time to spark wild celebrations in Madrid.
